About Us
Magic Wand’s story begins in 1968, a full year before we landed on the moon and about six months before bell bottoms were trendy the FIRST time. This is when the Magic Wand® – the ORIGINAL Personal Massager – was first introduced. No one expected that this unassuming device would soon become one of the world’s most recognizable products.
The Magic Wand® Original exemplifies the phrase “Icon.” In fact, very little about it has changed over its long history—except its name. Even the manufacturing remains the same, though the brand’s official name was updated in the early 2000s. Today, we’re thrilled that the full lineup has become recognizable as simply “Magic Wand.”
The iconic Magic Wand Original now shares the spotlight with three equally impressive models: Magic Wand® Plus, a corded, variable speed massager; Magic Wand® Rechargeable, our cordless, multi-function device; and the first-ever Magic Wand® Mini, our new compact, rechargeable massager. Every product that bears the Magic Wand name features the legendary power and historic pleasure that took the world by storm more than half a century ago.
All Authentic Magic Wands are imported and distributed by Vibratex (that’s us!). We are proud of The Magic Wand’s legendary status, however, it can have a drawback – imitation. While we will always welcome and invite fair competition, we’re not so keen on identity theft. And, we’d love to help you avoid the disappointment of purchasing a counterfeit Magic Wand.
Authenticity
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but that only goes so far when it comes to quality, safety, and satisfaction. As the world’s best-selling massage wand, the Magic Wand has seen more than its fair share of imposters. And, while we will always welcome and invite fair competition, we’re not so keen on identity theft.
So, to protect you from lackluster – and potentially harmful – look-a-likes, we work tirelessly to eliminate true counterfeits from the market. However, please remember: buyer beware!
Our first suggestion – make sure you trust the source. Online shopping is great, and that includes marketplaces like Amazon that feature many authorized Magic Wand retailers. But, they can also be home to fakes. Here are some things that should raise red flags:
- Price – if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. While pricing varies online, the real thing will always be within a reasonable range. Compare prices with other sellers to get a sense for what you’re looking at before you click ‘buy.’
- Packaging – Our packaging was recently updated as shown on our product pages. You may also see the older style packaging pictured on the right.
- Brand Name – counterfeit sellers will frequently use the words “Magic” and “Wand” within their listings to trick search engines – and consumers. Authentic Magic Wands will always have the Magic Wand logo and the circle ® mark indicating the brand’s registered trademark.
- Branding and Logos – In 2022, we began a transition to a new logo and branding. As such, there will be a long period of time when it is possible to find authentic products with either logo or packaging design. Images on the right show both old and new designs.
- Physical Features – Authentic Magic Wands always have a white handle and body, blue neck, and white head. See additional photos pictured on right for details from each model.
Counterfeit Magic Wands may sadly even look just like the real thing, but they are often built using inferior – possibly unsafe – components. Additionally, many fakes use motors that are not nearly as powerful or reliable as ours. This leads to disappointing experiences, and no one wants that!
Finally, Vibratex (that’s us!) is the sole importer and distributor of the Magic Wand brand. We are the company responsible for providing the products’ warranty, authorizing retailers, managing this website, and more.
